Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes what you may not do with Amabrik. It is part of, and governed by, our Terms of Service. It applies to you, your widgets, and anyone using the service through your account.
Prohibited content and conduct
You may not use Amabrik to:
- publish or distribute illegal content, or content that infringes the rights of others;
- distribute malware, run phishing, or attempt to deceive or defraud anyone;
- harass, threaten, or abuse any person, or promote such behavior;
- collect personal data without a lawful basis and without giving visitors the notices and choices the law requires, including consent where consent is the basis you rely on;
- use the widgets to deceive or mislead your visitors about who you are or what they are agreeing to.
Consent and anti spam
Amabrik can forward the email addresses and other contact details your widgets capture to the email and CRM tools you connect. Because of this, you carry specific responsibilities for how you contact the people you collect.
- Valid consent. You must have a valid lawful basis, including consent where it is required, for every contact you collect and for the way you intend to message them.
- No unsolicited email or spam. You must not use contacts collected through Amabrik to send unsolicited email or spam.
- Comply with anti spam laws. You must comply with applicable laws governing electronic communications and data protection, for example the GDPR and CAN-SPAM, including providing a clear way to unsubscribe.
Abuse of the service
You may not:
- attempt to overload, disrupt, or interfere with the service or its infrastructure;
- reverse engineer the service, except to the extent the law expressly permits;
- circumvent or attempt to circumvent rate limits, usage limits, or security controls;
- resell or redistribute the raw service to third parties except as expressly allowed;
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service without our prior written consent.
Consequences of a breach
If you breach this AUP, we may, depending on the severity, issue a warning, suspend your account or specific widgets, or terminate your access. Where the law requires, or to protect the service or other users, we may act without prior notice. Termination is handled as described in our Terms of Service.
Reporting abuse
If you believe an Amabrik widget is being used in breach of this policy, please report it to us at contact@amabrik.com.
